Hoosiers for Good Government Leadership Program

The 2027 Hoosiers for Good Government (HGG) Leadership Program is a series of workshops designed for people in Northeast Indiana. It teaches how local governments, non-profits, and elections work. Participants team up to solve real problems in Northeast Indiana. Participants in HHG learn:

• How government works at every level.
• How to run a political campaign.
• How to speak to the public effectively.
• How to help your local economy.

The program offers an opportunity to join a group of learners and work on a project to fix a problem in the community. The audience for this series of workshops include:

• Nonprofit executives and program managers
• Civic organizers and community advocates
• Individual interested in running for public office
• Business leaders interested in public‑private partnerships
• Emerging and mid‑career public sector leaders (city/county staff, local elected officials, agency employees)
• Economic development professionals and planners
• Educators and higher‑education administrators engaged in community initiatives

Cohort members learn from guest speakers and do hands-on activities. Details are provided below. Applications are due by July 31.
